The Redeploy Illinois program is governed by the Redeploy Illinois Oversight Board (RIOB), which provides support and ongoing monitoring of the Redeploy Illinois program. The RIOB adheres to guidelines in the Redeploy Illinois Act and ensures there are processes and resources to administer and evaluate Redeploy Illinois. In addition, the RIOB ensures that the number of youth committed to the Illinois Department of Juvenile Justice from any Redeploy Illinois county will not exceed the previous three-year average of Redeploy eligible recipients and that counties are in conformity with this law. On an annual basis, the RIOB prepares a report to the Governor and the General Assembly on the progress of Redeploy Illinois.
For the RIOB to make informed decisions, diverse representation on the board is essential. The RIOB invites individuals interested in becoming a board member to apply!
